Doğum oranlarının azalması ve doğuşta beklenen yaşam süresinin uzaması ile dünya nüfusu hızla yaşlanmaktadır. Bu durum toplumları ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel birçok açıdan etkilemektedir. Yaşlı nüfusa yönelik hizmet ve politikaların geliştirilmemesi durumunda gelecek yıllarda birçok ülkenin artan yaşlı nüfus için bakım ve sosyal koruma sistemleri, emekli aylıkları, sağlık sistemleri vb. konularda sorunlar ile baş etmek durumunda kalacağı öngörülmektedir. Türkiye de hızla yaşlanmakta ve yaşlı oranı giderek artmaktadır. Bu durum politika yapıcıların maliyetleri azaltacak aynı zamanda aktif, sağlıklı ve yerinde yaşlanmayı sağlayacak sosyal politikalar geliştirmesini gerektirmektedir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de yaşlılara yönelik hizmetlerin yerinde yaşlanma yaklaşımıyla değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu kapsamda öncelikle yerinde yaşlanma kavramı açıklanmış daha sonra Türkiye’de yaşlılara sunulan hizmetlere ilişkin bilgiler verilmiş ve yerinde yaşlanmayı sağlamaya yönelik çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur.
With the decrease in birth rates and the extension of life expectancy in birth, the world’s population is rapidly aging. This situation affects societies in many economic, social and cultural aspects. If the services and policies for the elderly population are not developed, in the coming years many countries will provide care and social protection systems for the growing elderly population, retirement months, health systems, etc. It is expected that they will be able to deal with problems. Turkey is getting older and the ageing rate is increasing. This situation requires the policy makers to develop social policies that will reduce costs while developing active, healthy and in place aging. This study is aimed at assessing services for elderly people in the place by ageing approach. In this context, first the concept of ageing in place was explained and then information about the services offered to the elderly in Turkey was given and the findings were made to ensure the ageing in place.
The world population is aging rapidly with the decrease in birth rates and the increase of life expectancy at birth. This situation affects societies in many economic, social and cultural aspects. If services and policies for the elderly population are not developed, in the coming years, It is foreseen that many countries will face problems such as care and social protection systems, pensions, health systems for the increasing elderly population. Turkey is aging rapidly and the proportion of the elderly is increasing. This situation requires policy makers to develop social policies that will reduce costs and ensure active, healthy and aging in place. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the services for the elderly in Turkey with the aging-in-place approach. In this context, first of all, the concept of aging in place was explained, then information about the services offered to the elderly in Turkey was given and inferences were made to ensure aging in place.
