Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to measure the technostress perceptions of accounting professionals and to reveal their effects on their individual job performances. The research includes 350 professional accountants [independent accountant (IA), independent accountant financial advisor (IAFA) and certified public accountant (CPA)] operating in Kütahya. Turkey's Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants (TURMOB) authorized and registered by the CPA profession to Kütahya Chamber has been recognized as a significant constraint on research. In the context of the mentioned constraint, 300 professionals were contacted and 295 professionals were determined as the sample of the study. The survey method has been adopted to obtain data in the research. The data obtained were coded in the "Microsoft Excel 2016" program and transferred to the "SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 22.0" program. In this program, appropriate analyzes were made and the results were arranged and evaluated. In the study, it was concluded that the technostress that accounting professionals faced increased their individual work performance. In addition, suggestions were made to motivate members of the profession in the future and to have them equipped with technology use.
