İnsan, varoluşu gereği hep sorma ve sorgulama içerisindedir. Bunu yaparken asıl amacı ise kesin bilgiye ulaşabilmektir. Bu bilgi önce kendini, sonra çevresini, sonra da evreni tanıma ihtiyacındandır. Kendini ve çevresini bilen insan daha güvende hissedecektir. Bu nedenle insana ilişkin her bilim kesinlik üzerine düşünmüş ve çalışmıştır. Felsefe, din, matematik, fizik, coğrafya, dil, sosyoloji gibi bilimler bunlardan bazılarıdır. Bu çalışmada önce kesinlik kavramı tanımlar üzerinden ele alınmış. Ardından felsefe, din, matematik, hukuk ve dilbilim alanlarının konuya yaklaşımı ele alınarak daha geniş bir değerlendirme yapmak amaçlanmıştır. Her bir bilimin kesinlik kavramını ele alırken kullandığı yöntemin, sorduğu soruların, alınan cevapların, eksiklerinin ve fazlalıklarının birbirinden farklı olduğu görülmüştür. Bazı bilimler kesinliğin ne olduğu üzerinde dururken bazı bilimler kesinliği bilgiyle, bazıları doğruyla, bazıları konuşanın tavrıyla, bazıları sözlerle bağdaştırmıştır. Bazı bilimler ise hiçbir şeyin kesin olamayacağını savunarak konuya kuşku açısından bakmış, nelerden kuşkulanılabileceğini ele almıştır. Bu çalışmada yukarı-da bahsedilen görüşler ele alınarak bir sonuca varılmaya çalışılmıştır
Due to her existence, human beings are always in a state of questio-ning and questioning. While doing this, the main purpose is to reach precise information. This knowledge is due to the need to know first oneself, then the environment, and then the universe. People who know themselves and their surroundings will feel more secure. For this reason, every human science has thought and studied precision. Sciences such as philosophy, religion, mathematics, physics, geography, language, sociology are some of them. In this study, firstly, the concept of precision is discussed through definiti-ons. Then, it is aimed to make a broader evaluation by considering the approach of philosophy, religion, mathematics, law and linguis-tics to the subject. It has been seen that the method used by each science in dealing with the concept of certainty, the questions it asks, the answers received, its deficiencies and excesses are diffe-rent from each other. While some sciences focus on what precision is, some sciences associate certainty with knowledge, some with truth, some with the attitude of the speaker, and some with words. Some sciences, on the other hand, argued that nothing can be certain, and looked at the subject from the point of view of doubt, and discussed what could be suspected. In this study, it has been tried to reach a conclusion by considering the above-mentioned views.
