Osmanlı Devleti’nin en parlak dönemi olarak bilinen XVI. asır, içte ve dışta elde edilen başarıların yanı sıra suhte ve levend tâifesi gibi bazı kesimlerden kaynaklanan birtakım huzursuzlukların da varlığına sahne olmuştur. Özellikle Anadolu’nun iç ve batısında etkili olan suhte olayları Bursa’da huzursuzluk yaratmıştır. Bu tür olumsuzlukların önüne geçilebilmesi için merkezden gönderilen emirlerle medreselerdeki talebelerden kefil talep edilmiş ve suhtelerin silahla gezmeleri yasaklanmıştır. Alınan tüm önlemlere rağmen birtakım olumsuzluklar yaşanabilmiştir. Suhtelerin bu dönemde organize bir şekilde evini basarak mal ve parasını çalıp, öldürdükleri kişilerden biri de Emir Gazi’dir. Tebriz’den Yavuz Sultan Selim’le birlikte gelen aileler arasında yer alan Emir Gazi, seyyid unvanına sahiptir. Bursa’da selâtîn vakıfları tevliyeti gibi önemli vazifeler yürütmüş, toplum nazarında saygın bir konum elde etmiştir. Yine kendisi gibi Tebriz’den gelmiş olan Yavuz Sultan Selim’in nedimi Hasan Can’la da yakınlığı bulunmaktadır. Emir Gazi’nin kâtilleri kısa sürede tespit edilip başka bir şehirde yakalanmıştır. Bundan sonra uzun bir davalar silsile-si ve merkezle yazışma süreci yaşanmıştır. Söz konusu kayıtlar, fâillerin hepsinin olay yerinden ustalıkla kaçtığı hallerde bile Osmanlı yargı sürecinin ne kadar hızlı işletilebildiğini gösterebilmesi açısından oldukça anlamlıdır.
Abctract: The XVI th century, known as the brightest period of the Ottoman Empire, witnessed the existence of some unrest stemming from some sections such as the suhte and the levend group, as well as the successes achieved at home and abroad. Suhte events, which were especially effective in the center and west of Anatolia, created unrest in Bursa. In order to prevent such negativities, guarantors were requested from the students in the madrasahs with the orders sent from the center, and the suhte were forbidden to travel with guns. Despite all the precautions taken, some negative effects were experienced. Amir Ghazi is one of the people whom the Suhtes raided in an organized manner during this period, stole their property and money and killed them. Amir Ghazi, who was among the families who came from Tabriz with Sultan Selim I, has the title of sayyid. He carried out important duties such as the trusteeship of sultanic waqfs in Bursa and achieved a respectable position in the society. He also has a close relationship with Hasan Can, the bridesmaid of Sultan Selim I, who also came from Tabriz. The killers of Amir Ghazi were quickly identified and apprehended in another city. Following that, there was a protracted sequence of lawsuits and a correspondence process with the center. The records in question are significant in terms of demonstrating how swiftly the Ottoman judicial procedure could be completed, even when all of the perpetrators managed to flee the site of the crime.
