Abstract:

This study aims to investigate the social injustices caused by unregistered employment. In order to unpack social injustice, it is requisite to analyze unregistered employment in the first place. In consequence, unregistered employment in Turkey will be discussed in all its forms. National and international data on the subject will be analyzed, the workers are who are deprived of social security due to unregistered employment an based on this, social injustices that closely affect the society will be discussed. In this respect, the studies in the literature were systematically scanned and the findings were synthesized and compiled. Problems such as inability to access social security tools and income inequality caused by unregistered employment reinforce social injustices. In fact, if workers are deprived of registered employment, they are not only left with the inability to benefit from health rights, but also deprived of the opportunities that retirement brings. The aim of this study is to discuss the social policies that can be developed by examining the mentioned social injustices. In conclusion, it was found that unregistered employment is a problem that is difficult to eliminate in the short and medium term for Turkey. It has been determined that unregistered employment legitimizes unemployment, long working hours, poor working conditions and low wages; And emphasized that comprehensive policies should be developed due to the consequences that negatively affect the social structure and social security system by reinforcing existing social injustices.
