Abstract:

After the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, the Russian Federation began a whole new period, with this new period bringing the world into a footstep process. In this sense, public relations practices have been a topic that "New Russia" should be carefully stopping. The public relations work that began after the breakdown has been seen as the first practices that have gained rapidity over time in the public sector. With the work started in the private sector in the subsequent period, public relations agencies opened their first offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and the foundations of the agencies that are currently in the world rankings have begun to be thrown out in those periods. The aim of this study is to explain how public relations in Russia were implemented in the public and private sector after the dissolution of the Soviet Union and to reveal the situation of NGOs in this matter. The method of document examination was used through Russian and English sources because of the fact that this country has not found a special study on public relations, and the conclusion was that public relations were very actively applied in the field of association in the public and private sector, but in the NGOs they were not able to fulfill their functions in full sense.
