Abstract:

Ibn Mujāhid’s Kitāb al-Sabʿa is the first work that collects seven qirāʾāts in the science of recitation. It is the source of Ibn al-Jazarī’s Nashr/Ṭayyibah work, which includes Taysīr/Shāṭibiyyah and 10 qirāʾāt written after him. Al-Jazarī did not take this work, which he took as a source in other recitations, as a source for ʿĀṣim’s qirāʾāt. In this respect, the riwāyas and ṭarīqs of ʿĀṣim qirāʾāt in the work are not the same in the ṭarīqs of Taysīr/Shāṭibiyyah and Ṭayyibah . It is not included in 14 ṭarīqs given in Kitāb al-Sabʿa, 52 for Ḥafṣ and 76 for Shuʿba in Ṭayyibah. In addition, Al-Mufaḍḍal and al-Abān riwāyas are given in this work and their different riwāyas are also mentioned. In the study, Ibn Mujāhid and his place in the science of qirāʾāt and ʿĀṣim’s qirāʾāt, the uṣūlī and farshī readings that are transmitted differently apart from the narrator, ṭarīq and Ṭayyibah are discussed. Since these readings come with completely different recitals, it is not the recognied reading of ʿĀṣim’s qirāʾāt, even though it is transmitted in other recitations. Because the Shuʿba/Ḥafṣ riwāya we read today is read within the framework of Ṭayyibah ṭarīqs. The ṭarīq sand some related readings in this work, which is a turning point in the science of qirāʾāt and the most basic source, will be revealed in relation to the Ṭayyibah ṭarīqs in particular, and how the approach should be against this situation will be emphasized.
