Abstract:

Despite the end of the Second World War, the culture of multi-party life has not yet been established in Republican Turkey. Until the National Development Party. With this party founded under the leadership of Nuri Demirağ, there was a turning point in Turkey and the transition to multi-party life was achieved. From the door opened by Demirağ until the 1950 elections, 24 political parties were established. However, they were not very successful in continuing their existence. One of the political structures in question is the Turkish Conservative Party, founded under the leadership of Atilhan. When we look at the regulations of TMP, there are important targets both domestically and internationally. If Atilhan could introduce these ideals to the majority of the nation, it is certain that they would not fade away in a short time. However, due to financial impossibilities, he quietly disappeared from political life due to his inability to organize an organization that could explain the targets stated in his own regulations to the public and to continue his publications. In fact, in the minutes prepared by the government of the period, it is understood that both the Party and Atilhan were not considered very noteworthy.
