Abstract:

The financial technologies that the power is not in the centers and people have gathered in their hands have begun to shape the future. Cryptocurrencies provided by encrypted mathematical methods are used by individual users anywhere in the world without any government and/or institutional support, unlike the currencies used in the classical sense. About a thousand six hundred and fifty cryptocurrencies are currently being traded on the market. The top of these are: Ripple, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Cardano, NEM, Litecoin, Stellar, Bitcoin Cash, IOTA and TRON. While these currencies are considered as an investment tool, some companies even countries are considered as goods. Cryptocurrencies are an unprecedented reality in the world. The need for this reality to be included in an academic article has been considered important to evaluate the study in literature. The study aims to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of cryptocurrencies without time and space limits and to examine the work and legal regulations that countries and companies do with regard to the use of cryptocurrencies and to keep light on the work to be done on the subject from the point of view of Turkey. In this context, the study shows that cryptocurrencies, investment opportunities and legal regulations, which are likely to lead innovation in the future without being behind the world using innovative financial technologies in the digitalized world, are evaluated as empirical in the light of secondary data. In addition, the new generation of cryptocurrency investors in Turkey should pay attention to the elements and the necessary model for Turkey to be ready for this technology is also in the work.
