Abstract:

The success of JIT depends on developing strong supplier relationships. That is why, supplier selection criteria are important. Applications that adopt aggregate approaches like JIT would increase the organizational performance of the members in supply chain. In order to carry out production constantly, supplier relations should be built in a stable and confidential way. This paper aims to ascertain applications of Supply Chain Management, supplier selection assessment and supplier relations and to determine approaches unified with the JIT concept. The data provided from questionnaires applied to 43 organizations are analyzed by SPSS 15.0 program. As a result, it is found that medium and bigger sized organizations in Aydın province attach importance to supplier relations and have applications parallel to JIT, which let them achieve gains. Also it is determined that supplier relations and JIT applications affect each other and there is a significant relation between them.
