Klasik Türk Edebiyatında hastalıklar ve tedavi yöntemleri sıklıkla şiirlere konu edilmiştir. Hastalıklar çok çeşitlidir, tedavi yöntemi olarak ise kimi zaman hekimlere danışılmış ve tıbbın imkânlarından yararlanılmış, kimi zaman da bâtıl inançlar kullanılmıştır. Üç Arûs ve Üç Dâmât mesnevisi “realist bir aşk mesnevisi” olması sebebiyle halkın yaşayış biçimi, âdetleri ve gelenekleri açısından oldukça zengindir. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada Üç Arûs ve Üç Dâmât mesnevisindeki hastalıklar ve bunlara uygulanan tedavi yöntemleri incelenecek ve bu hastalıkların eserin kurgusuna etkisi ortaya konacaktır. Bir veba salgınıyla başlayan mesnevide tüm çocuklarını vebadan kaybeden bir çift yeniden çocuk sahibi olmak ister. Elli altı yaşındaki kadın, yaşı gereği gebe kalmak için çeşitli tedavi yöntemlerine başvurur, sonunda isteğine ulaşır ve bir oğlu olur. Mesnevinin asıl konusu Gûyâ adı verilen bu kahraman ve çevresindekilerin aşk maceralarıdır. Mesnevide, hastalıkların kahramanların hayatında önemli bir yer tuttuğu ve hikâyenin kurgusunda dönüm noktası olarak şair tarafından özellikle kullanıldığı görülür. Baş ağrısı, Gûyâ’nın babasının ölümüne neden olan hastalığın belirtisi olarak ortaya çıkar. Hastalık, tabipler tarafından çeşitli yöntemlerle değerlendirilir, hastaya “safrâ-yı germ” tanısı konulur ve hastayı iyileştirmek için ilaçlı tedaviler uygulanır. Aşk ve keder, Klasik Türk Edebiyatında kahramanların yakalandıkları en “büyük” ve tedavisi en zor olan hastalıktır. Üç Arûs ve Üç Dâmât mesnevisinde de aşkın kahramanlarda ortaya çıkardığı hastalık hâlini tedavi etmek için çeşitli yöntemlere başvurulur. Sarhoşluk ve nazar kahramanlarda hastalığa neden olan diğer unsurlardır ve bunlara da çeşitli tedaviler uygulanır. Sarhoşluğun sabahları yaşanılan olumsuz etkilerini ortadan kaldırmak için kahve, nazara karşı da üzerlik otu yakmak çözüm olarak kullanılır. Hastalıklar ve tedavi yöntemleri eserde önemli bir yer tutmanın yanında, şairin olayların kırılma noktalarında ve büyük değişimler öncesi başvurduğu bir konu olarak da ön plana çıkar.
In classical Turkish literature, diseases and methods of treatment are often referred to in poems. Diseases are very diverse, but as a method of treatment, sometimes doctors have been consulted and the possibilities of medicine have been exploited, and sometimes the religious beliefs have been used. Three Aruses and Three Damates are a “realist love mesh” because the people’s way of life, their traditions and their traditions are very rich. Therefore, in this study, the diseases in the muscles of Three Aruses and Three Damat and the methods of treatment applied to them will be studied and the effects of these diseases on the fiction of the work will be revealed. A couple who loses all their children from the epidemic in the menopause, starting with a epidemic, wants to have a child again. A fifty-six-year-old woman applies to a variety of treatments to get pregnant according to her age, ultimately reaches her desire and becomes a son. The main subject of Mesnevine is the hero named Gûya and the love adventures of those around him. In Mesnevide, it appears that diseases hold an important place in the lives of the heroes and are especially used by the poet as a turning point in the fiction of the story. His headache appears as a sign of the disease that caused the death of his father. The disease is evaluated by the physicians in various methods, the patient is diagnosed with "saphra-i germ" and medicinal therapies are applied to heal the patient. Love and sadness are the most "great" and difficult to cure disease in the classical Turkish literature. Three Arus and Three Damat are also applied to various methods to treat the condition of the illness revealed in the heroes of love. Drunkiness and narcissus are other factors that cause the disease in the heroes, and they are also treated with a variety of treatments. To eliminate the adverse effects of drunkeness in the morning, coffee is also used as a solution to burn the grass against the nuts. In addition to keeping the diseases and methods of treatment an important place in the work, the poet comes to the forefront as a topic in which the events are broken and before major changes are addressed.
