Abstract:

This article is about Kemal Derin's Love Hunkârı Hacı Bektaş Veli in his novel titled Hacı Bektaş Veli's portrait. In the study, it was first referred to the structural elements of the novel and then questioned in the framework of the characteristics of the biographical novel in which a character was created between history, landscape and philosophy. This means that one of the forms of lighting of the Hacı Bektaş Veli is intended. In the context of the name-content relationship, the word Person in the title of the novel has been shown to have a symbolic function in the understanding of the ideological dimension of the established Bektaş character. The author, in the framework of the characteristics of the biographical novel, has created his work around documents and stories about Hacı Bektaş Veli. The ideological dimension of the character of Bektaş in the novel is made by the writer's choices when he figured the historical hero. In this regard, the main characteristic of it is that it is established in the form of an Ismaili Daisy instead of a Yesevî dervişi. In addition, the organic connection between Hacı Bektaş Veli and Ahmet Yesevî in collective memory, along with historical and menkbevial sources, was broken, instead a new connection between Bektaş and Seyyidina (Hasan Sabbah) was established through the Shahdiz and Alamut Castle. Therefore, it has been claimed that the novel is beyond being a biographical novel that reflects the historical reality, it is a text that destroys/refunds it and tells the life story of a fictional hero.
