Dünya Ekonomisi 2007 yılı ortalarında ABD’de ortaya çıkan ve tüm dünyaya yayılan finansal bir krizle karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Bu kriz 1929 ekonomik buhranından sonra dünya ekonomisinin karşılaştığı en ciddi krizdir. Bu noktada, daha önceki yaşanan krizlere kıyasla daha karmaşık ve yönetilemez olan ve küresel olarak nitelenen bu kriz gittikçe derinleşmekte ve etki alanını artırmaktadır. Bu çalışmada küresel kriz öncesi dünya ekonomisinde meydana gelen gelişmeler finansal ve mali göstergeler kullanılarak hisse senedi piyasası, borç menkulleri, sermaye hareketleri ve sermaye yatırımları bağlamında ülkeler ve bölgeler açısından analiz edilmektedir. Sonuç bölümünde ise bu krizden kurtulmak için neler yapılabileceği hakkında bazı öneriler sunulmaktadır.
