Abstract:

Purpose: This study was conducted with the aim of determining the attitudes of pregnancy students towards their professional roles towards violence in pregnancy. Instrument and Method: This study, which is of a defining type, was conducted with 105 adult students. The data collection used "Personal Information Form" and "The Scale of Attitudes of Nurses to the Occupational Roles in Violence". Non-parametric tests are used in the analysis of data.  Results: The average age of Ebelik students is 21.59 ± 1.43 (min: 20 - max: 23). It has been found that students’ attitudes towards their professional roles towards violence in pregnancy are in a positive direction and they use contemporary approaches to their professional roles (29.27±7.36) A significant difference has been achieved between the class, age group, the area in which they live and the state of education against violence in pregnancy and the attitude to their professional roles in violence (p<0.05). The conclusion: The attitudes of students to their professional roles against violence in pregnancy are found to be positive, distant from tradition and they use contemporary approaches in their professional roles. Students have shown a strong attitude and a strong attitude towards violence. It may be recommended that the subject be included as a separate theoretical course in the curriculum in accordance with the results obtained by the discovery of their attitudes towards violence in pregnancy.
