Bu çalışmada normalde yüz yüze eğitim veren bir üniversiteyi yeni kazanmış öğrencilerin pandemi kaynaklı uzaktan eğitime ilişkin hazırbulunuşluk düzeyleri incelenmiş ve sürece yönelik görüşleri alınmıştır. Çalışma grubunu bir devlet üniversitesinde eğitim fakültesine yeni kayıt yaptırmış olan 305 1. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Karma araştırma yaklaşımının benimsendiği bu çalışmada, nicel verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel analiz, nitel verilerin çözümlenmesinde ise içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda öğrencilerin uzaktan eğitime ilişkin hazırbulunuşluk düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu görülmüş cinsiyet, bölüm, bilgisayarla geçirilen süre, kitap okuma durumlarına göre anlamlı farklılaşmalar elde edilmiştir. Öğrenciler uzaktan eğitim için pandemi koşullarında yerinde bir karar olduğunu düşünmekle birlikte, yüz yüze eğitime kıyasla daha verimsiz geçeceği yönünde görüşler bildirmişlerdir. Diğer yandan uzaktan eğitimin sağlam bir alt yapıyla sunulması, bireylere fırsat eşitliği sunulması, derslerin en kaliteli şekilde verilmesi aksi takdirde bir an önce yüz yüze eğitime geçilmesi yönünde öneriler sunmuştur.
In this study, a university that normally teaches face-to-face has been studied the levels of preparation for remote education caused by a pandemic of newly acquired students, and the views are taken towards the process. The study group consists of 305 first-class students who have recently registered to the faculty of education at a state university. In this study, the approach of karma research was adopted, in the analysis of quantitative data, the visual analysis was used, and in the analysis of quality data, the content analysis was used. In this study, the readiness levels of the students who have just enrolled a university that normally provides face-to-face education, on distance education because of the pandemic were investigated and their views on the process were taken. The study group consists of 305 first year students who have just enrolled in the faculty of education at a state university. In this study, in which the mixed research approach was adopted, descriptive analysis was used in the analysis of quantitative data, and content analysis was used in the analysis of qualitative data. As a result of the study, it was observed that students' level of readiness for distance education was high; significant differences were obtained according to gender, department, time spent using the computer, and reading books. Although students think that distance education is an appropriate decision in pandemic conditions, they have stated that it will be less efficient compared to face-to-face education. On the other hand, he made suggestions for providing distance education with a solid infrastructure, providing equal opportunities to individuals, giving the lessons in the best quality, otherwise switching to face-to-face education as soon as possible.
