Bu araştırmada gerçekçi matematik eğitimi yaklaşımının öğrencilerin akademik başarısına ve matematiğe yönelik tutumlarına etkisini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada akademik başarıya yönelik 67 çalışma ve tutuma yönelik 27 çalışma incelenmiştir. Yapılan inceleme sonucunda bu çalışmalardan dâhil edilme kriterlerine uygun olan akademik başarı için 37 ve tutum için 15 çalışmaya ait veriler meta-analiz yöntemiyle birleştirilmiştir. Çalışmalar birleştirilirken yapının heterojen olmasından dolayı rastgele etkiler modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda genel etki büyüklüğü değeri akademik başarı için 1.107 ve matematiğe yönelik tutum için 0.694 olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak gerçekçi matematik eğitimi yaklaşımının akademik başarıyı arttırmada çok geniş düzeyde ve matematiğe yönelik tutumu arttırmada ise orta düzeyde bir etkiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir.
This study aims to study the impact of a realistic approach to mathematical education on student academic success and attitudes towards mathematics. The study examined 67 studies on academic success and 27 studies on attitudes. The results of the study were combined with the meta-analysis method of 37 studies for academic success and 15 studies for attitude that meet the criteria for the inclusion of these studies. The study was used as a random effect model because the structure was heterogeneous when combined. The study found that the overall impact size was 1.107 for academic success and 0.694 for attitude towards mathematics. As a result, the realistic approach to mathematical education has a very broad level of impact on increasing academic success and on increasing attitude towards mathematics.
