Bu çalışmanın konusunu, amatör çalgı eğitimi alan yetişkin öğrencilerin eğitimlerinde önemsenmesi gereken öğrenme ve öğretme stratejileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma, genel tarama modelinde betimsel bir çalışmadır. Bu gün artık yetişkinler, yeni aktivitelerin hayatın her döneminde başlayabileceğini her zamankinden daha iyi anlamışlardır. Yetişkin kendi isteği ile ders çalışması ve onda bu isteğin oluşması için özel bir teşviğe gerek olmaması bakımından genellikle en ideal öğrenci modelidir. Çalgı çalmak isteyen yetişkinler genellikle güçlü bir motivasyona sahiptirler ve kendileriyle ilgili problemleri açık, anlaşılabilir biçimde ifade ederler. Yetişkinler, sınırlı ya da mükemmel bir eğitim almış olarak karşımıza çıkabilir ya da eğitime yeni başlıyor olabilirler. Bazıları çocukluklarında kısa süren bir deneyimle veya iyi bir popüler müzik becerisi edinmiş ama nota okumayı öğrenmemiş olarak derslere gelirler. Diğer taraftan çocukken iyi bir çalıcı olup da ileri yaşlarda repertuarını geliştirmek isteyen öğrenciler de karşımıza çıkabilir. Bu çalışmada, onların kişisel gereksinimleri de göz önünde bulundurularak, eğitimlerinin daha başarılı olması yönünde uygulanacak öğrenme-öğretme stratejileri üzerinde durulmuştur.
The subject of this study is the teaching and learning strategies which need to be considered in the education of adult students with amateur purposes. The research is a descriptive study based on general screening model. Today the adults are more conscious than ever about the fact that the new activities can start at any stage of their lives. Adults possess the intrinsic motivation to study without the need of an external encouragement, which makes them ideal model of students in this sense. Motivations of adult students are generally high and they express their problems in a clear and understandable manner.The teachers may come across adults who come with limited or excellent former education, as well as ones who may be taking the first steps to learning. Some of them may have a background from their childhood years, or may have managed to develop a brief ability in popular music, but are unable to read music.
