Abstract:

In this research, religious religious life forms and psychological well-being of male religious officials in Sivas; sociodemographic variables such as age, education, marital status, religious belief, duty period, duty place. The scale of "religious orientation" adapted by Hasan Kayıklık to the Turkic language developed by Allport and the "psychological well-being scale" adopted by Ryf, developed by Uzeyir Ok. Survey technique was used in the field study. According to the correlation method in the research, the following results were obtained: the age variable and the intrinsic motivation, religiosity total (r = .270, .208); there was a positive but significant relationship between duty duration and outward-directed religiosity (r = .184) at p <.01 level. There is a positive but significant relationship between age variable and environmental skill (r = .141) at p <.05 level. There is a positive but significant relationship between all dimensions of self-directed piety and psychological well-being (p = .183, .203, .596 and .507) at p <.01 level. There is a positive but significant relationship between externally motivated religiosity and personal development, positive relationships and environmental skill (r = .142, .159) at p <.05 level. On the other hand, there is a negative but significant relationship between externally motivated religiosity and positive relationships (-.122) p <.01. Again, there was a positive but significant relationship between psychological well-being dimensions and all dimensions except for the positively related dimension and religiosity total (r = .238, .591, .443) p <.01.
