Abstract:

One of the objectives of geography education is to understand the dimensions of a person and its environmental relationships. These dimensions and relationships can only be understood through critical thinking, problem-solving, gaining experience, observing and practical development. Geography is an example event in one of the teaching methods that can be used in the acquisition of concepts, skills and values related to geography education and in the permanent trace-like behavior change. The main starting point of this method brings students to face real problems related to humans and nature. In geography courses, a student-centered modern teaching can be done using examples of events in this context. In this study, one of the basic sources of geography courses and one of the important teaching materials in geography curricula studies the extent of the examples of events included. Approved by the Presidency of the Education and Education Council, 4 books studied as Geography curricula in the 2015-2016 educational year and document examination used using the quality methodology in the study. The analysis of the data is used by the visual analysis method.
