Abstract:

In this minvalde study, the question is asked "which scientists can be qualified as scientists in the true sense" and "which characteristics should have those who can be qualified as scientists in the true sense". The purpose of the study in which the method of examination of the document is to reveal the criteria of being alim in the special tu'l-ḳulûb that is between the sources of this work. Thus it will be revealed how the question of "building proximity with God" which is the main objective of knowledge in the Islamic thought will be processed in these two works; it will also be placed in the practical direction of how this can be possible according to the Mekki and Gazzali thought.
