The STEM education is an educational approach that is on the agenda at all levels of education starting from pre-school. However, the work done in this field in Turkey in the context of science education is mostly interested in students’ and teacher candidates’ attitude, interest, or success in STEM fields, and not sufficiently in the students’ supposed-to-develop skills. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the problem solving and enquiry learning skills of secondary school students, that are related to STEM. 646 students from 5th, 6th and 7th grades participated in the study. Data were collected with “STEM Perception Test”, “STEM Attitude Scale “, “Problem Solving Skills Perception Test” and “Enquiry Learning Skills Perception towards Science Scale”. The findings showed that while there was a positive and significant relationship between the students' problem-solving skills and STEM attitudes, there was no relationship between problem-solving skills and STEM perception. In addition, while there was no significant relationship between enquiry learning skills and STEM perception, there was a positive and significant relationship between the students' perceptions of enquiry learning skills and their STEM attitudes. Based on the results of this research, suggestions are given to the curriculum makers and for school practices.
