Basra dil ekolüne mensup olan Sîbeveyh’in (ö.180/796) adeta şaheser niteliğindeki el-Kitâb isimli eseri, her ne kadar gramer kimliğiyle ön plana çıkmış olsa da Kur’an kıraatleri konusunda da zengin bir muhtevaya sahiptir. Sîbeveyh, kitabının başında birçok müellifin yaptığı gibi eserin yazılış amacını belirtmese de onun bütün çabasının Arap dilinin kurallarını bir temele oturtmaya yönelik olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Zaten bu özelliğiyle de çağımıza kadar bu eser bir gramer kitabı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Ancak son yıllarda Sîbeveyh’in Kur’an kıraatleri konusundaki nevi şahsına münhasır tutumu bazı araştırmacıların dikkatini çekmiştir. Özellikle Sîbeveyh’in, günümüzdeki hâkim anlayışın tersine bazı mütevatir veya meşhur kıraatları çirkinlik veya hata olarak değerlendirmesi Sîbeveyh’in ciddi bir kusuru olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirmeyi yapanlardan biri de Ahmed Mekkî el-Ensâri’dir. el-Ensârî, Sîbeveyh’in kıraatler karşısındaki tutumunu eleştirerek onun, Kur’an’ı Basra dil ekolünün kurallarına uydurmaya çalıştığı, uyduramadığı kıraatleri ise hata ve çirkin olmakla itham ettiği kanısına ulaşmıştır. Makalenin sonunda ise Sîbeveyh’i eleştirdiği konularda kararı okuyucuya bırakmıştır.
The Book of the Holy Spirit, which belongs to the Basra language ecole (p.180/796) is a very personality of the book, although it has come to the forefront with its grammar identity, it has a rich contribution to the Qur’an currents. Sîbeveyh did not point out the purpose of writing the work, as many authorities did at the beginning of his book, but it is clear that all his efforts are aimed at putting the rules of the Arabic language on a basis. By this time, this book has been considered as a grammar book. But in the last few years, the exclusive attitude to the person of the Qur’an about the currents of Sîbeveyh has attracted the attention of some researchers. In particular, the judgment of Sîbeveyh, contrary to today’s judgment, is considered to be a serious defect of Sîbeveyh, considering some of the famous misconduct as ugly or misconduct. One of them is Ahmed Mekkî al-Ensâri.
