Abstract:

In this study, the teachers studied the perceptions of organizational silence. The study’s work group consisted of 99 women, 115 men, and a total of 214 teachers who worked in the center of Diyarbakır in the 2019-2020 Education-Teaching Year. The data of the study was collected using the personal information form and the organizational silence scale. The personal information form is prepared by the researcher and consists of materials aimed at determining the gender, age, duration of the job in the profession, branch and the degree of education they perform. This scale, which is in the five Likert type, consists of 18 substances that are gathered under five factors. The study found that teachers had a high perception of organizational silence. It has been found that gender is an influential variable on teachers’ organizational silence perceptions and that women’s teachers’ organizational silence perceptions are significantly higher than men’s teachers. The degree of education they perform has not been found to influence the organizational silence perceptions of teachers. It has also concluded that there is no meaningful relationship between the teachers’ organizational silence perceptions and their mandate periods in the profession. The findings achieved in the research were discussed in the light of the relevant literature and included in the recommendations for application and advanced research.
