Abstract:

Çalışmanın amacı, 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin 2018 Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Öğretim Programı’nda (SBDÖP) yer alan, Bilim Teknoloji ve Toplum (BTT) öğrenme alanına ilişkin akademik başarı düzeylerini çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Çalışmada, nicel yöntemlerden olan ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemi, 2017-2018 Eğitim-Öğretim Yılının İkinci Dönemi’nde, Erzincan ilinde belirlenmiş 18 ortaokulda öğrenim gören toplam 742 beşinci sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak ‘Kişisel Bilgi Formu (KBF)’ ve ‘Bilim Teknoloji ve Toplum Öğrenme Alanı Başarı Testi (BTTÖABT)’ kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin akademik başarısının genel olarak iyi düzeyde olduğu görülmüştür. Başarı düzeyinin yerleşim yeri, cinsiyet, kardeş sayısı, anne ve baba eğitim durumu, anne ve baba mesleği, karne notu, evlerinde bilgisayar veya tablet olması, evlerinde internet bağlantısı olması ve internete bağlanma sıklığına göre anlamlı olarak değiştiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract:

The aim of the study is to study the academic success levels of 5th grade students in the field of learning in Science and Technology and Society (BTT), which is included in the 2018 Social Information Course (SBDÖP) in terms of various variables. In the study, a relative scanning model of quantum methods was used. The sample of the study consists of a total of 742 fifth-class students studying in 18 high schools set in the 2017-2018 Education-Teaching Year's Second Period, Erzincan Province. As a data collection tool, the 'Personal Information Form (KBF)' and 'Science Technology and Society Learning Area Success Test (BTTÖABT)' were used. The study finds that students’ academic success is generally at a good level. The result is that the level of success; the place of residence, gender, brotherhood, mother and father's educational status, mother and father's profession, maternal note, having a computer or tablet in their homes, having an internet connection in their homes, and having an internet connection in their homes, has a significant change according to the frequency of internet connection.
