Abstract:

This article focuses on how Gogol’s life story reflects his story, novel, and theatrical works. Gogol was sent to the military school from a very early age and received his education here. When Gogol’s works are closely studied, the effects of growing up in a military environment can be clearly seen. As can be understood from the narratives and findings in this article, Gogol, except for a few exceptional works, has all of his works for soldiers. This situation is significantly in line with the general accepted understanding that the writers do not work isolated from elements such as the social environment and life experiences in which they are. In this article, all the primary source works written by Gogol were addressed by the method of content examination from the type of quality research. Additional explanations were made using the literature written about Gogol's works. Thus, Gogol’s personal life history and past experiences were attempted to explain how the subject reflected in the writing action, and suggested similar studies to be conducted in the future.
