Süreli yayınlar içerisinde gazeteden sonra gelen en önemli tür olan dergiler, kültür, sanat, siyaset ve bilim gibi çeşitli konularda yazıların okuyucuyla buluştuğu en yaygın ve etkili yayım grubunu oluşturur. Türk dergiciliği, başlangıcından itibaren hemen her dönemde etkili olmuş ve basın hayatına yön vermiştir. Cumhuriyet döneminde de önemini koruyan dergiler içerisinde en büyük grubu kültür ve sanat dergileri oluşturmaktadır. Çağdaş Türk sanatının gelişip yayılması açısından birer sac ayağı olan bu yayınlar arasında Arkitekt, bir mimari ve şehircilik dergisi olmasına rağmen içeriğinde yer verdiği sanata dair konular nedeniyle özel bir yer edinmiştir. İlk sayısı 1931 yılında çıkarılan dergi, Cumhuriyet’in ilanından sonra başlatılan çağdaşlaşma sürecinin mimari alanındaki temsilcisidir. Uzun yıllar boyunca da mimariye yönelik çıkarılan tek dergi olmuştur. Ancak dergi içerisinde mimari dışında sanat tarihi, heykel, resim, fotoğrafçılık, geleneksel Türk el sanatları ve arkeolojiye yönelik pek çok yazı da yayımlanmıştır. Çalışmamızın amacı, 1931-1980 yılları arasında Arkitekt’te yayımlanmış arkeolojiyle ilgili yazıları değerlendirerek, Türk sanat tarihi içindeki yeri ve etkisini tespit etmektir. Bu bağlamda tespit ettiğimiz yazılar konularına göre dört başlığa ayrılmış bunlar içerisinde önemli gördüklerimiz ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiştir. İncelememizin sonucunda Anadolu tarihinin çeşitli dönemlerinin işlendiği bu makalelerin, Anadolu topraklarının kültürel mirası ve tarihi kimliğini tanıtmak ve bu mirası koruma görevini başarıyla yerine getirdiği görülmüştür
During publications, the most important type after the newspaper, the magazines form the most widespread and effective publication group in which articles meet with the reader on various subjects such as culture, art, politics and science. Turkish journalism has been effective in almost every period since its beginning and has directed the life of the press. During the Republic period, the greatest group of journals preserved its importance formed cultural and art journals. Among these publications, which are one of the footsteps in terms of the development and spread of contemporary Turkish art, the Architect, although it is an architectural and urbanist magazine, has gained a special place due to the topics of art in its content. The first edition of the magazine, published in 1931, is a representative in the architectural field of the process of modernization launched after the proclamation of the Republic. It has been the only magazine that has been published for architecture for many years. But in the magazine, in addition to architecture, art history, sculptures, painting, photography, traditional Turkish crafts and archaeology are also published many articles. The aim of our study is to identify the place and influence in the history of Turkish art by evaluating the articles related to archaeology published in the Architect between 1931 and 1980. In this context, the subjects we have identified are divided into four titles, which we have seen important in detail. As a result of our review, these articles, which have been processed in various periods of Anadolu history, have been shown to promote the cultural heritage and historical identity of the Anadolu lands and have successfully fulfilled the duty of preserving this heritage.
Magazines, the most important genre that comes after the newspaper in periodicals, are the most widespread and effective publishing group where articles on various subjects such as culture, art, politics and science meet readers. Turkish magazine publishing has been effective in almost every period since its inception and has guided the life of the press. Among the magazines that maintain their importance during the Republican period, the largest group consists of culture and art magazines. Among these publications, which are important in terms of the development and dissemination of contemporary Turkish art, Arkitekt was an architectural and urban magazine, but it has a special place due to the art-related issues. The first issue of the magazine was published in 1931 and is the representative of the modernization process initiated after the proclamation of the Republic. For many years, it has been the only magazine for architecture. However, besides the architecture, many articles about art history, sculpture, painting, photography, traditional Turkish handicrafts and archeology have been published. The aim of our study is to determine the place and effect of the journal in Turkish art history by evaluating the articles about archeology published in Arkitekt between 1931-1980. In this context, the articles we have determined are divided into four chapters according to their subjects. As a result of our analysis, it has been seen that these articles, in which various periods of Anatolian history have been discussed, have been able to introduce the cultural heritage and historical identity of Anatolian lands and to fulfill this duty of preservation
