Ekonomik anlamda güçlü ülkelerin sigorta şirketleri sigortalılardan topladıkları primler bir araya geldiğinde finans piyasalarında önemli derece de fon kaynağı yaratması sebebiyle sigorta şirketlerinin oldukça büyük öneme sahip olduğu bilinmek ile beraber şirketlerin finansal sistemdeki konumuna rağmen sayıları az olduğu için etkinlikleri büyük önem teşkil etmektedir. Rekabet ortamında sigorta şirketlerinin performanslarını değerlendirmeleri gittikçe önem kazanmakta ve bu kullanılan yöntemlerden biri vza yöntemi ile etkinlik analizidir. Etkinlik ölçümü 2018 yılında sağlık branşında faaliyet gösteren yıllık prim üretim sıralamasına göre ilk 20’de bulunan sigorta şirketlerinin Veri Zarflama yönteminin toplam etkinlik değeri için CCR modellerinden sektörün yapısı nedeni ile girdiler üzerindeki kontrol fazla olduğundan girdi odaklı model benimsenmek durumundadır. Sağlıkta faaliyet gösteren 20 sigorta şirketinden 2016 yılında 9’u etkin, 11’i etkin değildir. 2016 yılında sigorta şirketlerinin %45 etkinlik yüzdesi ile diğer yıllara göre etkinlik en üst seviyededir. 2017 yılında 20 sigorta şirketinden 6’sı etkindir, 14 şirket etkin değildir ve %30 etkinlik yüzdesine sahiptir. 2018 yılında 20 sigorta şirketinin 8’i etkin iken, 12’si etkin değildir ve etkinlik yüzdesi %40’ tır. Güneş, Ak, Ethica, Ray ve Halk sigorta şirketleri 2016, 2017 ve 2018 yıllarında etkin olmayan sigorta şirketleridir. Allianz, Acıbadem Sağlık ve Hayat, Axa, Unico sigorta şirketleri 2016, 2017 ve 2018 yıllarında etkin olan şirketlerdir.
When economically strong countries assurance companies gather the primes they collect from insurance companies in financial markets significantly because they create funds in the financial markets as well as the fact that the insurance companies have a great importance, while the company’s position in the financial system is very important because the number is small. In a competitive environment, the importance of assessing the performance of insurance companies is increasingly increasing, and one of these methods used is the performance analysis with the vza method. The measurement of activity in 2018 according to the annual premium production ranking operating in the health industry, the first 20 insurance companies must adopt the input-oriented model for the total activity value of the data coverage method from the CCR models due to the structure of the industry and the control over the entries. Of the 20 health insurance companies that operate in 2016, 9 are effective, 11 are not effective. In 2016, the activity rate of the insurance companies was 45% higher than in other years. In 2017, 6 out of 20 insurance companies are active, 14 are not active and have a 30% activity percentage. In 2018, 8 of 20 insurance companies are active, while 12 are not active and the activity percentage is 40%. Solar, Ak, Ethica, Ray and Public insurance companies are non-active insurance companies in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Allianz, Acıbadem Health and Life, Axa, Unico insurance companies are companies that have been active in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Although the insurance companies of economically strong countries are few when the premiums collected from the insured come together, they have great importance because of they have the potential to create significant funding sources in the financial markets. Given the position of the companies in the financial system, this insurance is of great importance for the economy whether they work effectively or not. In an environment of competition, it is increasingly important for insurance companies to evaluate their performance. One of the methods used in effectiveness analysis is effectiveness analysis with DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) method. Effectiveness measurement was carried out on the insurance companies in the top 20 according to the annual premium production ranking operating in the health branch in 2018. The input-oriented CCR model has been adopted for the total effectiveness of the Data Envelopment method since the control over the inputs is more than the output control due to the structure of the industry. While 9 of the 20 insurance companies operating in the field of health are efficient in 2016, 11 of them are not efficient. While 6 of the 20 insurance companies are efficient in 2017, 14 of them are not efficient. While 8 of the 20 insurance companies are efficient in 2018, 12 of them are not efficient. Insurance companies B7, B15, B18, B19, and B20 are inefficient insurance companies in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Insurance companies B1, B2, B5, B17 are efficient in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
