So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı okul terkinin nedenleri, sonuçları ve önlenmesine yönelik önerilerin öğretmen görüşlerine dayalı olarak incelenmesidir. Bu çalışmada nicel çalışma yöntemi ile tarama modeli tercih edilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma evreni 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında öğrenim gören 120 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemi ise 108 katılımcıdan oluşturulmuştur. Örneklem grubu basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin okul terkine yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek için Küçükarslan (2019) tarafından geliştirilen “ölçek kullanılmıştır.  Öğretmenlerin ifadeleri genel olarak değerlendirildiğinde öğrencilerin maddi durumlarının iyi olduğu ifade edilebilir. Araştırmadan elde edilen önemli bulgular: ölçekteki ifadelerde; aile içi geçimsizlik ve şiddet konusu öğrencilerin okulu terkini etkileyen en önemli neden olmuştur. Diğer nedenler ise eğitime devam konusunda ailenin öğrenciyi ikna etmekte zorlanması ve aile ile okul arasında yaşanan iletişim eksikliği konusu olmuştur.

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the causes, consequences and recommendations for the prevention of school leaving based on the teacher’s opinions. In this study, the scanning model with the quantum work method was preferred. The study universe of the study consists of 120 teachers studying in the 2021-2022 educational-learning year. The exhibition was composed of 108 participants. The sample group is selected using a simple random sample method. The scale developed by Minikarslan (2019) was used to determine the attitudes of teachers who participated in the study towards leaving school.  When the teachers’ statements are generally evaluated, it can be stated that the students’ financial conditions are good. Important findings from the research: in scale expressions; in-family intolerance and violence have been the most important cause that affects students' leaving school. Other reasons were the difficulty of the family to convince the student about continuing education and the lack of communication between the family and the school.
