Corporate sustainability which is one of the most populer subjects in previous century, is a comprehensive term consisting of economical and social development and protecting environment. While some companies are forced to be sustainable by financial concerns, the others are forced to reorganize their operations because social responsibility is thought to be necessary in terms of forming a corporate identity. As a result of the idea that sustainable development is possible as long as encouraging governments, companies and sivil society to form a common goal. Global Compact was established as an innovative social responsibility approach in 2000. Within the scope of this study, the relationship between corporate sustainability and corporate social responsibility and current situations of them in Turkey are examined in terms of UN Global Compact. The aim of this study is to develop applicable solutions for functional disruptions by presenting the current situation and problems. Qualitative research methods are used. When the obtained data is interpreted, it is seen that Global Compact participants approach the social and environmental issues in a moderate way and act more sensitively in general. However, it is also seen that there is a need to make improvements in some fields such as human rights, employee rights and employee participation in decision processes. It is concluded that instead of establishing temporary cooperations, it is especially important to build long-‐term partnerships focusing on tangible outputs, spreading social responsibility awareness in all levels of society via businesses and NGOs and being attentive in reporting in this process.
