Abstract:

Introduction and Purpose: In this study, we aimed at assessing the compatibility between injective biopsy samples and radical prostatectomy samples in our patients we apply radical prostatectomy due to prostate cancer. Method and Requirements: In a retrospective study, 167 male patients with radical prostatectomy due to prostate cancer were evaluated between November 2010 and May 2020. Patients who were placed with injective biopsy in our pathological diagnoses center and who did not receive any treatment for prostate cancer prior to radical prostatectomy were included in the study. 92 patients performed in the outer center of igneal biopsy, 2 patients placed with pathological diagnoses with transuretral resection material and 1 patient received hormone therapy before radical prostatectomy with 1 patient received radiotherapy was dismissed. The average age of the total of 71 patients involved in the study was 62.3 ± 6.0 (December, 46 - 75) years, while the pre-diagnostic average PSA level was 10.0 ± 7.6 (December, 3.2 - 48.1) ng/mL. 31 (43.7%) of the patients had suspicious findings in the finger rectal examination. The Gleason score between injustice biopsy samples and radical prostatectomy samples was 66.2, 59.2 and 74.6 per cent, respectively, in terms of prognostic group and tumor laterality. PROTECTION and RESULTS: In patients diagnosed with prostate cancer, the pathological assessment of injective biopsy samples plays a critical role in the determination of methods of treatment. However, it should be remembered that samples of injective biopsy do not predict prostate pathology with a high harmony.
