Değerler eğitimi konusu yaşamımızdaki düzenin kurulması konusunda çok önemli bir yere sahiptir. Hayatları süresince insanları bir arada tutan unsur değerler ve yasalardır. İnsanların güvenli ve düzenli bir yaşam sürdürebilmesi adına yasalar çoğu zaman yeterli olmamaktadır. Bütün toplumlar aslında vatandaşından istediği ve beklediği vatandaşı olduğu ya da yaşadığı ülkenin ya da şehrin kurallarını, değerlerini özümsemeleri ve içselleştirerek davranışlarının oluşmasını arzulamaktadır. Değerlerin özümsenmesi ve içselleştirilmesi ancak eğitim yoluyla gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bireylere değerler eğitiminin verilmesinde okulların ve öğretmenlerin çok önemli görev ve sorumlulukları bulunmaktadır. Öğretmenler öğrencilere değerler konusunu öğretirken birbirinden farklı yöntem ve teknik kullanmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmada değerlerin öğretiminde kullanılan yöntem ve tekniklerden örnek olay yönteminin değerlerin öğretilmesine ve değerlerin kalıcı olması konusunda etkisi ve rolü araştırılmak istenmiştir. Bu araştırma nitel araştırma yönteminin doküman analizi deseni kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemini Yök tez ve Dergipark sitelerinden ulaşılan ve değerler öğretiminde kullanılan yöntemlerin uygulandığı 19 doküman oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda örnek olay yönteminin değerler eğitiminde kullanılan yöntemler içerisinde en sık ve etkili kullanılan yöntemlerden olduğu, öğretmenlerin kazanımların kazandırılması ve kazanımların kalıcılığının sağlanması konusunda derslerinde en sık başvurdukları yöntem olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Values education has a very important place in the establishment of order in our lives. They are the elements that keep people together throughout their lifetime. For people to live a safe and regular life, laws are often not enough. All societies in fact desire that their citizens become the citizens they want and expect, or the rules of the country or city in which they live, and their values, and their behavior, by absorbing and internalizing. Improving and integrating values can only be achieved through education. In providing values to individuals education, schools and teachers have very important tasks and responsibilities. Teachers use different methods and techniques while teaching students the subject of values. In this study, the methods and techniques used in the teaching of values were aimed at exploring the impact and role of the example event method on the teaching of values and the durability of values. This research was carried out using the document analysis design of the research method of the quality. The sample of the study consists of 19 documents obtained from the Yök thesis and magazine sites and the methods used in the teaching of values. The study found that the example event method is one of the most frequently and effective methods used in the teaching of values, and that the teachers are the most frequently applied methods in their classes on achieving the achievements and ensuring the durability of the achievements.

Schools and teachers have very important duties and responsibilities in giving values ​​education to individuals. Teachers use different methods and techniques while teaching students the subject of values. While the role of schools and teachers is so important in teaching values, it is important that educators take more responsibility in transferring values ​​to younger generations. It is understood that teachers use many different methods and techniques in teaching values. In this process, it was seen that creative drama, discussion, case study, brainstorming, cooperative learning, and problem solving method were among the methods and techniques that teachers frequently used during the teaching of values. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect and role of the case study method, one of the methods and techniques used in teaching values, on the teaching of values ​​and the permanence of values. This research was carried out using the descriptive analysis model, one of the qualitative research methods. The sample of the research consists of 19 documents accessed from Yök thesis and Dergipark sites and in which the methods used in teaching values ​​are applied. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the case study method is one of the most frequently and effectively used methods among the methods used in values ​​education, and that it is the method most frequently used by teachers in their lessons in terms of gaining the gains and ensuring the permanence of the gains.
