The aim of this study was to determine the changes in the mental models of the scientific value of secondary school students. The study group consists of 311 7th grade students in three secondary schools in the province of central Kastamonu. In this study pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test was used. The students’ metaphor and a drawing were demanded with the data collection form. Based on obtained study findings, students’ mental models and changing of mental [1]models have been identified. Consequently, it was observed that there were an increase in the rate of metaphors, drawings and mental models about the students’ scientific value.
