Son iki asır Müslüman toplumlarında geri kalmışlık, açlık, sefalet, çekişme ve iç karışıklıklar hüküm sürmektedir. Kendilerini idare etmekten aciz düşmüşlerdir. Bu durum "Müslüman toplumların sefaletinin sebebi nedir? Mevcut sefaletten kurtuluş yolları nelerdir?" sorularını gündeme getirmiştir. Bazı düşünürler bu soruya kurtuluş İslam’dadır şeklinde cevap vermişlerdir. Buna göre Müslümanlar İslam ile irtibatları zayıfladığı için geri kalmışlardır. Bu irtibat yeniden ve güçlü bir şekilde tesis edildiğinde İslam ümmeti yitirdiği gücüne kavuşacaktır. Çünkü İslam, müntesiplerini harekete geçirecek dinamizmi verebilecek mükemmelliktedir. Aliya İzzetbegoviç, son asır İslam dünyasının yetiştirdiği önemli düşünür ve siyaset adamlarındandır. Birçok Müslüman mütefekkirin yaptığı gibi o da Müslümanların gerileme nedenleri ve çıkış yolları üzerine yoğunlaşmıştır. Bu çalışmada İzzetbegoviç’in eserlerinden hareketle onun kurtuluş reçetesi olarak takdim ettiği dini düşüncenin tecdidi veya İslami yeniden doğuş önerisi ortaya konulacaktır.

Aliya Izzetbegovich is one of the important thinkers and politicians that the Islamic world has grown up in the last century. As many Muslims do, he also focused on the causes of the retreat of Muslims and the ways of exit. In this study, the expression of the religious thought he presented as a rescue prescription by moving from the works of Izzetbegovich or the proposal for Islamic rebirth will be revealed.
For the last two centuries, underdevelopment, hunger, poverty, internal disturbance and confusion reign in Muslim societies. They have become unable to rule themselves. This situation makes the questions “what is the cause of the misery of Muslim societies, what are the ways of salvation from the current misery?” a current issue. Because Islam is perfect that can give dynamism to mobilize its followers. Izetbegovic is one of the major thinkers and statements of the last century that the Islamic world ever produced. As many Muslim thinkers did, he also has concentrated on the causes of decline and solutions. In this study, renewal of religious thought which he presented as salvation or his proposal of Islamic revival will be put forth based on the works of Izetbegovic.
