Amaç: Sigara bırakma polikliniğimize başvuran psikiyatrik hastalık öyküsü olan olguların tedavi devamlılıkları ve sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesi Materyal ve Metot: 01.01.2018 / 30.09.2018 tarihleri arasında Sigara Bırakma Polikliniği’ne başvuran ve tedavi uygulanan 126 olgu retrospektif incelendi. Bulgular: Kayıtları incelenen 126 hastanın medyan yaşı 36 (IQR 24-46) ve erkek cinsiyet oranı %59 idi. Sigara bırakma başarısı açısından cinsiyetler arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark saptanmadı (p=0,959). Sigarayı bırakan hastaların ortanca sigara içme süresi 25 paket/yıl (IQR 10-30), sigarayı bırakmayan hastaların ortanca sigara içme süresi 15 paket/yıl (IQR 9-26) olduğu gözlendi. Hastaların sigara içme süreleri ile sigara bırakma başarısı arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farkı saptanmadı (p=0,306). En sık olarak 68 hastada depresyon öyküsü, 30 hastada anksiyete bozukluğu öyküsü ve 15 hastada uyum bozukluğu öyküsü mevcut idi. 60 hastaya vareniklin, 56 hastaya bupropion, 10 hastaya nikotin replasman tedavisi başlandı. 3. ayın sonunda 19 (%15,07) hastanın sigarayı bırakmış olduğu görüldü. Psikiyatrik hastalık öyküsünün alt tipi ile sigara bırakma başarısı açısından değerlendirildiğinde aradaki fark anlamlı saptanmadı, (p=0,784). Uygulanan tedavi ajanı ile sigara bırakma başarısı açısından değerlendirildiğinde aradaki fark istatiksel olarak anlamlı saptanmış olup (p=0,023); vareniklin ile %23,30, nikotin replasman tedavisi ile %20, bupropion ile %5,35 oranında hasta sigarayı bırakmıştır. Sonuç: Psikiyatrik hastalık öyküsü olan hastalarda sigara bırakma oranlarını artırmak için: hastalarla yapılan görüşmelerde kontrollerine düzenli gelmeleri gerektiğinin vurgulanması, psikiyatri polikliniği ile koordineli çalışma dizaynının oluşturulması, psikiyatri poliklinik başvurularında hastalara sigara içme durumunun sorgulanması akabinde sigara bırakma polikliniğine yeni başvuru ya da takip nedenli yönlendirilmeleri, sigara bırakma tedavilerinin ücretsiz tedarik edilmesinin faydalı olacağı görüşündeyiz

There is no statistically significant difference between patients' smoking periods and their success to quit smoking (p=0,306). The most common was a history of depression in 68 patients, a history of anxiety disorder in 30 patients and a history of disorder in 15 patients. 60 patients received vareniclin, 56 patients received bupropion, 10 patients received nicotine replacement treatment. At the end of the 3rd month, 19 (15,07) patients were found to have quit smoking. When the history of psychiatric disease was assessed in terms of the success of the subtype and cessation of smoking, the difference between it was not significantly determined (p=0,784). When assessed in terms of the success of the applied therapeutic agent and the smoking cessation, the difference was statically meaningful (p=0,023); the patient cessed from smoking by 23.30% with vareniclin, 20% with nicotine replacement therapy, 20% with bupropion and 5.35%. Result: to increase the rates of smoking in patients with a history of psychiatric disease: emphasizing that they should come to their controls regularly in conversations with patients, creating a coordinated work design with the psychiatric clinic, questioning the situation of smoking to patients in psychiatric clinic applications, new application to the smoking clinic or follow-up causes, we consider that it will be useful to provide free smoking treatments
