Abstract:

Purpose: Unilateral Crowe type IV cornea dysplasia femoral shortening is to study the clinical results of the use of osteotomile seminal total cornea arthroplasty (TKA). Methods: Between January 2005 and March 2016, 57 patients with the diagnosis of Crowe type IV developmental colour dysplasia were considered retrospective with femoral abbreviation osteotomil TKA. The Harris hip score and the Western Ontario and McMaster Osteoartritis Index were used to evaluate functional results. Major complications were assessed. The abduction function was assessed by the pre- and postoperative Trendelenburg sign. All patients were diagnosed with pre- and post-operative foot size inequalities. Results: Patients with a minimum of 2 years of tracking, the average tracking time was 47.8 months. The Trendelenburg signal, which was positive in all pre-operative patients, was positive in 3 patients (5.2%) in recent examinations. The average pre-operative leg inequality fell to 6.9 ± 2.4 cm, while the average afteroperative fell to 1.3 ± 0.3 cm. In the last check, 5 patients (8.7 percent) complained of foot size inequality (they complained that the TKA side was longer). The functional scores in the patients' final controls showed statistically significant increase compared to the pre-operative period. The result: Unilateral Crowe type IV thumb displaced patients have satisfactory clinical outcomes of the application of seminal TKA. TKA is the best treatment option for relieving pain, improving functional scores and quality of life. Although the rate of complications is high, these problems can be treated by additional intervention or only by observation.
