Abstract:

Although the Caucasus is a region with difficult geographical conditions for human life, it has been home to many ethnic elements throughout the history because it is located on migration routes from the east to the west, from the north to the south. The Turks are also one of the ethnic elements living in this geography. Since the 17th century, as a result of the Russians’ spread policy observations, Turkish communities living in the Caucasus for centuries have been forced to refuge in the Ottoman State. The Kumuk Turks were forced to come to Anatolia, especially in the second half of the 19th century and in the early 20th century by leaving their constitutions. It is possible to find data about the languages of the Kumuk Turks settled in Anadolu in the Assembly Dictionary. The Assembly Dictionary is the most comprehensive work on the existence of the word in the Turkish mouth. In this article, the existence of the word of Kumuk Turkish in the respective dictionary will be examined in the framework of the famous and unknown changes.
