“Seçil Büker, 1947 yılında Eskişehir’de doğdu. Ankara Üniversitesi Dil, Tarih ve Coğrafya Fakültesi İngiliz Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümü’nden mezun oldu. Doktora çalışmalarını sinema üzerine yaptı. Anadolu Üniversitesi İletişim Bilimleri Fakültesi Sinema ve Televizyon Bölümü’nde öğretim üyesi olarak çalıştı. Sonrasında Gazi Üniversitesi’ne atanan Büker, ayrıca ODTÜ Güzel Sanatlar Bölümü ve Ankara Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi’nde dersler verdi. Sinema literatürümüzün klasikleri arasına giren pek çok esere imza atan Büker, göstergebilim, sinemada anlatı ve film türleri üzerine çalışmalar yaptı. Seçil Büker hâlen Ankara Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi’nde ders vermeye devam etmektedir” (tsa.org.tr)
"The elected Büker was born in 1947 in Eskişehir. The Faculty of Language, History and Geography of Ankara University graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature. He did his doctorate in the cinema. He worked as a faculty member at the Department of Cinema and Television of the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Anadolu University. Buker, who was later appointed to the University of Gazi, also gave courses at the ODTÜ Department of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Communications of the University of Ankara. Büker, who has signed many works that are among the classics of our cinema literature, has worked on the showcase, the story in the cinema and the film types.
