Abstract:

Nowadays, the development of information and communication technologies has changed the learning forms of students; the educational practices based on the transmission of information have lost their up-to-date. Opinions about the student’s active participation in the learning process have made learning strategies one of the key topics in the field of education. It has become important to provide students with the ability to access information, use information and learn. Therefore, student-centered educational activities should be carried out in accordance with student learning strategies and in the framework of innovative approaches. This research, medical documentation and secretariat program will identify the applications of students’ learning strategies and use some variables of their learning strategies (gender, age, etc.) It has been made to show whether it is different. According to the findings obtained, medical documentation and secretariat students use comprehension tracking strategies and understanding strategies intensely, while less use organizational strategies, repetition strategies and sensual strategies. It has been determined that some of the learning strategies that students use vary according to their age group, gender, and the program that they want to choose or not. The medical documentation and secretariat program have found that there is no significant difference between the learning strategies students use and the high school type and class level variables they graduate.
