Abstract:

Abstract:

In this study, it was aimed at studying the effects of resistance training on some serum lipid levels of female skiing athletes. Working, without any health problems and being part of the national team, age middle. 17,92±0,793 years old, size middle. 165.25±5.70 cm and the body weight is medium. 55,83±6,25 kg, 12 elite female skiing athlete and middle age. 17,83±0,835 years old, size middle.  163.83±5.49cm, the body weight is medium. A total of 24 volunteers, including 12 women, with 55,58±5,32 kg, participated voluntarily. Athletes and sedanter groups were taken 5 cc venous blood sample while in a resting state. The blood samples taken for biochemical analyses were centralized for 10 minutes at 4000 rpm and the serum analysis was done with the self-analyzer. The results of the study are SPSS 20. The 0 statistics package program was analyzed and taken as the meaning level (p<0.05).The data was determined by the Shapiro-Wilk test where normal distribution was shown or not.In the statistical solutions of normal distribution data, the identificative statistics and the parametric tests at the α=0.05 meaning level were used. The elite female athletes had a statistically significant increase in high-intensity lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL) value compared to sedaners (p<0,05).  The LDL (mg/dl), triglyceride (mg/dl) and cholesterol (mg/dl) values have not been statistically significant (p>0,05). The study found that long-term resistance training leads to increased serum HDL levels in female skiing athletes, and that other serum lipids have no significant effect on LDL (mg/dl), triglyceride (mg/dl) and cholesterol (mg/dl).

Effect Of Endurance Training On Some Serum Lipid Levels Of Female Cross Country Skiing Athletes
2019
Author:
Abstract:

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of endurance training on some serum lipid levels of female cross country skiing athletes. The study was conducted with the voluntary participation of a total of 24 women, 12 of whom were elite women skiing athletes who were in the national team with no health problems, whose average age was 17.92 ± 0.793 years, average height was 165.25 ± 5.70 cm and average body weight was 55.83 ± 6.25 kg, and 12 of whom were sedentary women whose average age was 17.83 ± 0.835 years, average height was  163.83 ± 5.49 cm and average body weight was 55.58 ± 5.32 kg. 5 cc venous blood samples were taken from the athletes and sedentary groups. Blood samples for biochemical analysis were centrifuged at 4000 rpm for 10 minutes and serums were analyzed by autoanalyser. The data obtained in the study were analyzed with SPSS 20.0 statistical package program, and the level of significance was accepted as (p<0.05). Shapiro-Wilk test was used to determine whether the data showed normal distribution. Descriptive statistics and independent t test of parametric tests with a significance level of α = 0.05 were used for statistical analysis of the data showing normal distribution. It was determined that high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL) values of elite female athletes increased statistically significantly compared to the  sedentary group (p<0.05).  No statistically significant difference was found regarding the LDL (mg/dl), triglyceride (mg/dl) and cholesterol (mg /dL) values between the two groups (p> 0.05). As a result of the study, long-term endurance training was determined to cause an increase in the serum HDL level of female cross country skiing athletes, and it did not have a significant effect on LDL (mg/dl), Triglyceride (mg/dl) and Cholesterol (mg/dl).
