Abstract:

The aim of the research is to reveal the educational use of the game in the Geography teaching in the Social Information classes of teachers working in combined classes. The research was obtained from the quality research methods in the phenomenological (logubilogy) type and the data was obtained using a structured interview form. The sample of the study was identified as teachers working in combined classes according to the purpose of the study and the study was conducted with 40 people. The interview form, consisting of nine closed end questions, was preferred as a data collection tool in the study. The data obtained was evaluated by the visual analysis method. According to the study, teachers working in combined classes found that the educational game in the geography teaching was useful in both classes and fields of development and that they used it in their classes. It is also noted that in combined classes, there are limitations in the use of educational game in an effective teaching process. In order to overcome these limits, teachers have also been given recommendations such as the planning of service-in-service training for educational games, reducing the intensity of the programming in combined classes.
