Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to identify academics in the field of education management, the skills that school managers should have, the issues related to their existing skills and their views on the solution of these problems. For the conceptual structure of the research carried out using the quality research methods, the scaned and semi-structured discussion form of the field has been prepared. The 9th September University educational management with some of the faculty members in the field of preliminary discussions resulted in the necessary changes of the form was created the final state of the form. The study’s work group consists of ten academics working in the field of education management at Çanakkale Eighteen March University. The conversations were recorded and the content analysis was applied to the data obtained. The findings were drawn up and direct quotes were made. According to academics in the field of education management, school managers; organization structure, management processes, financing, etc. Technical; motivation, cooperation, monitoring individual differences, etc. Humanities; theories of management, educational philosophy, theories of leadership, etc. It is said that they must have conceptual skills. The main issues related to qualifications are related to the educational philosophy, communication, finance and management processes. The appropriate level of teaching experience, the content of the written exam that is up-to-date, the view of postgraduate studies and the freedom of choice in service training are among the recommendations for solving these problems.
