Dünya nüfusu hergeçen gün hızla artmaktadır. Günümüzde artan nüfusla birlikte, gelişen teknoloji ve sanayileşmeye bağlı olarak gerek Dünya’da gerekse Türkiye’de enerjiye olan talep te çeşitli kullanım alanlarında hızla artmaktadır. Fosil yakıtların oldukça fazla kullamını ve çevresel zararları yenilenebilir enerjiye olan ihtiyacı artırmasıyla yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının önemi daha iyi anlaşılmaya başlanmıştır. Yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının başında rüzgar enerjisi, jeotermal enerji, hidroelektrik enerji, biyokütle enerjisi ve güneş enerjisi gelmektedir. Yenilebilir enerji kaynaklarından olan güneş enerjii birçok kullanım alanına ve önemli bir potansiyele sahiptir. Güneş enerjisi başta elektrik üretimi olmak üzere sıcak su üretimi, soğutma, kurutma ve suyun damıtılması gibi çeşitli alanlarda kullanılmaktadır.Bu çalışmada yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarından olan güneş enerjisinin Bilecik ilindeki potansiyeli ile mevcut ve planlanan güneş santralleri incelenmiştir.
The world’s population is growing rapidly every day. Today, with the growing population, due to the developing technology and industrialization, the demand for energy in the world or in Turkey is rapidly increasing in various areas of use. With the considerable use of fossil fuels and the increased need for renewable energy environmental damage, the importance of renewable energy sources has begun to be better understood. The main sources of renewable energy are wind energy, geothermal energy, hydroelectric energy, biomass energy and solar energy. Solar energy, which is from renewable energy sources, has many uses and significant potential. Solar energy is primarily used in various fields such as hot water production, cooling, drying and water drilling, including electricity production.This study has studied the existing and planned solar power plants with the potential of solar energy from renewable energy sources in Bilecik.

Fossil fuels and their environmental damage are making the need for renewable energy more obvious. As a result of this, renewable energy sources have been recently valued more than ever. Renewable energy sources mainly include wind energy, geothermal energy, hydroelectric energy, biomass energy and solar energy. Among them, solar energy has many uses and an important potential. Solar energy is used in various fields such as electricity generation, hot water production, cooling, drying and water distillation.This study is carried out to analyse the potential of solar energy together with the existing and planned solar power plants in Bilecik province since it bears importance as a type of renewable energy sources.
