Bu araştırma, İlkokullarda Yetiştirme Programı (İYEP)’in Türkçe Etkinlik Kitabı modül 3’te yer alan metinlerin okunabilirlik düzeylerinin tespit edilmesi ve metinlerin öğrenci seviyesine uygun olup olmadığının incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. İYEP ilk olarak 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında ilkokul 3. sınıfa devam eden öğrenciler için uygulanmaya başlayan, önceki eğitim-öğretim dönemlerinde farklı nedenlerle Türkçe ve matematik dersi öğretim programlarındaki temel becerileri ve kazanımları yeterli düzeyde edinemeyen öğrencilerin eksik öğrenmelerinin giderilmesini, psikososyal alanda da desteklenmesini amaçlayan bir programdır. Okunabilirlik kavramı ise okuyucu tarafından metinlerin ne kadar kolay ya da güç anlaşılır olduğunu belirten bir kavaramdır. Dil öğretiminde de okunabilirlik kavramı oldukça önemlidir. Metinde yer alan cümleler ve sözcükler ne kadar uzunsa, okumayı ve anlamlandırmayı o kadar güçleştirmektedir. Bu araştırmada İYEP Türkçe Etkinlik Kitabı Modül 3’te bulunan okuma parçalarından 7 metin incelemeye alınmıştır. Araştırmada şiirler dikkate alınmamıştır. Bu araştırmada doküman incelemesini esas alan betimsel niteliklere dayalı tarama modeli kullanışmıştır. Metinlerin incelenmesi için ilkokul düzeyi için en uygun formül olan Ateşman’ın 1997 yılında Flesch’i temel alarak Türkçe’ye uyarlamış olduğu okunabilirlik formülü esas alınmıştır. Kullanılan bu formül neticesinde İYEP Türkçe Etkinlik Kitabı modül 3’te yer alan yedi adet metinden birinin orta güçlükte, dördünün kolay ve iki tanesinin de çok kolay metin düzeyinde olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Buna göre İYEP Türkçe Etkinlik Kitabı modül 3’te yer alan metinlerin öğrencilerin seviyelerine uygun olduğu anlaşılmıştır.
This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the readability levels of the texts included in the Turkish Event Book Module 3 of the Primary School Education Program (YEP) and whether the texts are in accordance with the student level. IYEP is a program aimed at eliminating the lack of learning and support in the psychosocial field of students who are not able to obtain the basic skills and achievements in the teaching programs of Turkish and Mathematical lessons for different reasons in the previous education and teaching periods, which first began to apply for students in the 2018-2019 educational year. The concept of readability is a concept that indicates how easy or powerful the texts are to be understood by the reader. The concept of readability is also very important in language teaching. The longer the sentences and words in the text, the more it makes it difficult to read and understand. In this study, 7 of the reading pieces found in the Good Turkish Event Book Module 3 were taken to review. Poems were not considered in the study. In this study, we used a scanning model based on visual qualities based on the study of the document. The readability formula for the study of texts was based on the readability formula that Ateşman adapted to Turkish in 1997 on the basis of Flesch, the most suitable formula for primary school level. As a result of this formula used, it is clear that one of the seven texts included in Module 3 is in medium difficulty, four of them are easy and two are very easy. According to this, it is understood that the texts included in the Module 3 of the Good Turkish Event Book are in accordance with the level of students.
