Abstract:

This study aims to analyze the personality and fate perception of Republican poet Arif Nihat Asia from a psychological perspective. Analysis is done with the works written about the poet, the interviews with him, and the imaginary analysis and content of his own poems and generations. Arif Nihat Asia has experienced some events that may be considered a turning point in his life and are believed to have directed his life. He grows up as an orphan and orphan, he fights his childhood and undermines the disasters brought by the occupations, the city tour for his education, the divorce from his first wife, the state of his country are important events that reflect his literary art and influence his personality. These conditions have caused a constant sadness and a feeling of desire in Arif Nihat. In other words, the youth of Arif Nihat Asia is filled with the traces of melancholy and search found in the soul of many artists born in the first half of the twentieth century and living the spirit of those times. Arif Nihat's these characteristics, which became a dirt from the search phase in the middle age and adulthood periods, have indirectly influenced his fate perception. Arif Nihat, who often showed a rebellious attitude in the youth years, had a successive attitude to the fate in the adulthood. The poet believes in fate and accepts the fate with a clear attitude instead of describing it as a metaphysical matter. Just as clear water was washed again after it was drowned, Arif Nihat Asia decided to be cold after the spiritual turmoil in the youth years.
