Bu çalışmada, sözlü geleneğimiz dâhilinde ortaya çıkan çeşitli yaratmalarda, özellikle de türkülerde karşılaşılan bakirelik algısı üzerine yoğunlaşan bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Kadını merkeze alan ve toplumsal cinsiyet konulu kimi çalışmalarda işaret edildiği üzere evlenmemiş bir kadında aranılan özelliklerin en başında gelen bakirelik olgusu, türküler özelinde analiz edilmiş ve bakireliğin hangi etmenler sebebiyle halk türkülerinde yüceltilen ve tercih edilen bir özellik olduğu probleminin üzerinde durulmuştur. Türkiye’nin farklı coğrafyalarına ait türkü metinlerini içeren tezler ile derleme yahut inceleme kitapları gibi yazılı kaynakların temel alındığı ve nitel araştırma yöntemi çerçevesinde doküman analizi metodunun kullanıldığı çalışmada, türkülerde karşılaşılan bekâretle ilgili söz, tabir ve metaforlara yer verilmiş elde edilen bulgular tasnif edilerek sunulmuştur. Çalışmanın sonucunda ise halk türkülerinde bakireliğin ideal eş ya da sevgili, güzellik sembolü, namus timsali, cinsel hedef, cazibe ve şifa kaynağı olarak algılandığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada, söz konusu tespitler somut örneklerle desteklenerek genel bir değerlendirmeye gidilmiş ve konuyla ilgili birtakım önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
This study focuses on the perception of virginity in the various creatures that appear within our oral tradition, especially in the Turkish. The virginity phenomenon that comes at the beginning of the characteristics sought in a non-married woman, which takes the woman to the center and social gender issues are indicated in some studies, has been analyzed in the Turkular specialty and focused on the problem that virginity is a characteristic that is glorified and preferred in the people's Turkular. In the study that the texts containing the texts of the different geographics of Turkey and the written sources such as compilation or examination books are based and the method of document analysis is used in the framework of the quality research method, the words, statements and metaphors related to the singularity encountered in the Turkish languages are included; the findings obtained are presented by classification. The study found that virginity was perceived as an ideal spouse or loved one, a symbol of beauty, namus timsali, sexual target, attraction, and a source of healing. In the study, these findings were conducted to a general assessment, supported by concrete examples, and a number of suggestions on the subject were presented.
