Abstract:

Although laringeal candidiasis is well defined in literature, malignancy and tuberculosis in physical examination can cause difficulty in distinguishing diagnosis. The common symptom of the disease is laryngeal paying bond sound deficiency. If the disease is not treated in time, it can lead to laring fibrosis and permanent sound discomfort. Largeal candidiasis is a treatment option for eliminating predisposing factors and starting an antifungal treatment. This study presents an isolated laringeal candidiasis phenomenon associated with the long-term use of inhaling corticosteroids. In the physical examination of the patient with a complaint of sound deficiency for about seven days, the left vocal cord 1/3 in the middle part of the keratotic appearance of the injury, under general anesthesia, is exhausted in a stripping style limited to microlarengoscopy. The pathological examination has shown that it is compatible with laringal candidiasis and the patient is still traced without problems after a 3-week 200 mg/day fluconazole treatment.
