Cumhuriyetin ilan edilmesi ile birlikte Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kurucuları, giriştikleri modernleşme hareketi içinde, eğitim ve öğretim sahasına özel bir önem göstermişler, elde bulunan kısıtlı imkânlara rağmen “eğitim davasını” her şeyin üzerinde tutmuşlardır. Gerek Osmanlı Devleti zamanında gerekse de Türkiye Cumhuriyeti döneminde, bulunduğu bölgede önemli bir konuma sahip olan Trabzon’da da, söz konusu “eğitim davası” gereğince büyük atılımlar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu makalede, 1923–1939 yılları arasındaki dönemde Trabzon Vilayetindeki eğitim-öğretim faaliyetleri ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır.
With the proclamation of the Republic, the founders of the Republic of Turkey, in the modernization movement they entered, showed special importance to the field of education and teaching, despite the limited possibilities obtained, they kept the "education case" above everything. The need for the Ottoman State at the time, but in the period of the Republic of Turkey, in Trabzon, which has an important position in the region where it is located, a large breakthrough has been made according to the "educational case" in question. In this article, the period between 1923-1939 was attempted to reveal the educational activities in the province of Trabzon.
