Bilim ve din arasındaki ilişki din felsefesinin en önemli konularından biridir. Freud bilim ve din görüşleri bakımından din felsefesi için önemli bir bilim insanıdır. Bu çalışmada Freud’da bilimdin ilişkisi, din fel-sefesi disiplininin kapsamında bilim perspektifinden tartışılmıştır. Öncelikle Freud’un bilimsel görüşleri ve özgünlüğü ele alınmış; daha sonra Freud’un bilimsel görüşlerinden hareketle bilimdin ilişkisinde hangi yaklaşımı benimsediği sorgulanmıştır. Freud’un bilimsel görüşlerinin psikanaliz ve bilinçaltı gibi çok önemli bilimsel başarılara sahip olduğu bilinmektedir. Bununla birlikte bu çalışmada Freud’un bilimsel görüşlerinin bazı eksiklerinin olduğu ve zannedildiği kadar özgün olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Freud’un, bilimsel görüşlerini eleştirilere karşı korumak için bilim ve din arasındaki ilişkide bağımsızlıktan yanaymış izle-nimi veren ifadeleri dile getirmiş olması dikkat çekicidir. Bu ifadelere rağmen Freud bilim ve dini karşı karşıya getirdiği için tam bir çatışma taraftarıdır. Freud’un bilim ve din arasında ön gördüğü çatışma yaklaşımı, bilimsel görüşlerinin bir sonucu değildir; aksine onun ateist, materyalist ve natüralist felsefesinin bir sonucudur. Bilinçli alanı etkileyen bilinçsiz bir alanı olumlayan Freud’un bilimsel görüşleri, Freud’a rağmen dinle uyumludur. Netice itibariyle denilebilir ki, Freud’un bilimsel görüşleri değil, kendisi dinle çatışmaktadır. İdeolojik girdilerden ve ki-şisel ön yargılardan bağımsız Freud’un bilimsel görüşleri ile din arasında uyum olduğu söylenebilir.
The relationship between science and religion is one of the most important subjects of religious philosophy. Freud is an important scientist for religious philosophy in terms of science and religious views. In this study, the relationship of science in Freud was discussed from a scientific perspective within the framework of the discipline of religious philosophy. First we discussed Freud’s scientific opinions and originality; then we questioned what approach he adopted in the relationship of scientists with Freud’s scientific opinions. Freud’s scientific views are known to have significant scientific achievements such as psychoanalysis and subconsciousness. However, this study found that Freud’s scientific opinions had some deficiencies and were not as original as it was thought. It is remarkable that Freud has expressed his scientific opinions in the relationship between science and religion to protect against criticism. Despite these statements, Freud is a complete opponent of the conflict because he faces science and religion. Freud’s confrontation approach between science and religion is not a result of his scientific views, but rather a result of his atheist, materialist, and naturalist philosophy. Freud’s scientific opinions, which optimize an unconscious field that affects the conscious field, are consistent with the doctrine despite Freud. In conclusion, it can be said that Freud’s scientific opinions are not in conflict with religion. It can be said that Freud, independent of the ideological entrances and the personal prejudice, was in harmony between his scientific views and the religion.
The relationship between science and religion is one of the most im-portant issues in the philosophy of religion. Freud is an important scien-tist for the philosophy of religion due to his views related to science and religion. In this study the relationship between science and religion in Freud is discussed from the perspective of science within the scope of the philosophy of religion. At first, Freud’s scientific views and original-ity has been analysed, then it has been discussed which approach in the relationship between science and religion Freud affirmed. It is known that Freud’s scientific views have very important scientific achievements such as psychoanalysis and the subconscious. However, in this study it has been determined that Freud’s scientific views have some deficien-cies and is not as original as it is supposed. It is remarkable that Freud expressed some statements as if he was in favor of independence in the relationship between science an religion to preserve his scientific views against criticism. Despite these statements, Freud is a defender of con-flict in the relationship between science and religion because he brought science and religion against each other. Freud’s approach of conflict between science and religion is not a result of his scientific wievs; but it is the result of his atheist, materialist and naturalist phi-losophy. Despite Freud, Freud’s scientific views, which affirms the un-conscious that affects the conscious field, are compatible with religion. In Conclusion, it is deduced that not Freud’s scientific views but Freud, himself, is in conflict with religion. It may be said that religion is com-patible with Freud’s scientific views without his ideological inputs and personal prejudices
