In the Roman family, women were considered very important and sacred. Compared to other ancient states, women in Rome were not legally free, but they were freer in social life. The existence of women in Rome, where the powers of men prevailed, and their activities in the family and public life were investigated. From ancient Roman legends to the Roman legal system, women were important figures for the Romans. In the article are analyzed the life and experiences of Rhea Silvia and Lucretia, one of the important female figures of Rome, and why they are so important for the history of Rome. As well as the role of women in Roman law and in the Roman family is also examined in our article.
