China had been economically closed to Western commerce until the 19th Century. Western states had not impel their colonial interests to China until mid19th century. However this situation caused conflicts as well. The "Opium Wars" were two wars, which took place in 1841 and then 1857, concluded with agreements first of all with Britain and then France and USA. Therefore, China was obliged to make economic compromises. Meanwhile, the Ottoman Empire also observed these developments and their impact. In this study, Ottoman Empire's aspect for the Chinese-Western conflict will be analyzed, based on Ottoman archival and other historical sources
